In a first for women’s domestic football, Pitch International have brokered two broadcast deals which will see the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) broadcast to 12 territories abroad.
Pitch International’s long-term partner, The Football Association (The FA), announced the three-year agreements with Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) and Sky Mexico (owned by Televisa).
Managing Director of Football at Pitch International, Sunil Kaikini, said: “The Barclays FA Women’s Super League agreements are a great example of the growing commercial opportunities across women’s football.
“Our aim is to continue to maximise these opportunities and help drive women’s football forward.”
The deals represent another milestone for Pitch International’s Women’s Sport Division, which was introduced at the beginning of 2019.
The division delivered the revolutionary women’s motorsport championship, the W Series, to more than 100 overseas territories in its inaugural season, and recently formed a partnership between young British Rally Driving sensation Catie Munnings and Pitch Representation.
Pitch International’s Women’s Sport Division delivers a range of services including media distribution, commercial sponsorship, event management and player representation.
