Saracens Rugby Club has announced a significant four-year sponsorship deal with global financial services organisation, StoneX Group Inc.
StoneX subsidiary, City Index, will appear on the front of Saracens’ Men’s and Women’s jerseys from January 2021, and their home ground renamed StoneX Stadium.
Pitch International worked exclusively with the Saracens’ commercial team in forming the partnership with the Fortune-500 company. The deal represents one of the most vital in Saracens’ history, with all rugby clubs facing considerable financial challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Phillip Smith, CEO of StoneX Financial LTD, said: “I’m delighted to announce a long-standing partnership with Saracens as both the club and StoneX have a relentless drive to achieve excellence.”
Pitch International’s expertise in rugby and sports sponsorship enabled Saracens to target a new sector and identify a long-term partner with the ambition to invest in both the shirt and stadium naming rights.
Lucy Englander, Saracens’ Group Head of Partnerships, said: “Pitch International has been invaluable in maximising our key commercial assets in an exceptionally challenging market.
“We’re incredibly excited about our partnership with StoneX and look forward to achieving a lot together.”
