Pitch International has launched a new division to add focus to the services it delivers in women’s sport.
Media rights, commercial consultancy, player representation and event management are the core services of the division, which was formed earlier this year.
Pitch has long had a significant involvement in women’s sport and currently sell the media rights for the US Women’s Open Golf Championship, the Women’s Six Nations Championship and both the New Zealand and Windies Women’s Cricket Teams.
The latest addition to the Women’s Sport Division is W Series, the ground-breaking new Racing Championship exclusively for women. Pitch will sell broadcast deals for W-Series in all markets outside of the United Kingdom.
Pitch International Chairman, Oliver Slipper, said the new division was a sign of the emphasis the business is placing on women’s sport.
“We’re incredibly optimistic about the future of women’s sport and want to be the world’s leading sports marketing agency in this area,” said Slipper.
“Revolutionary initiatives like W-Series not only provide the athletes amazing new opportunities, but also provide fans and businesses with the unprecedented chance to connect with female athletes and teams.
“Women’s sport is going in an exciting direction and this new division is about us staying ahead of the curve and helping drive the industry forward.”
Managing Director of Sales, Henri Kamerling, runs the division, while Faïna Msellem is the Commercial Manager.
