Pitch International has announced the appointment of Sunil Kaikini as its new Managing Director of Football.
Sunil leaves his current role as Head of International Broadcasting at the Premier League to develop Pitch International’s global football rights portfolio and expand their network of global broadcast clients.
Sunil has worked in the sports media industry for 18 years, starting his career at Sportcal before managing the broadcast department at the International Tennis Federation for five years. He has spent eight years at the Premier League, where he has been involved in three international broadcast rights cycles - the third of which is just concluding.
Sunil said: “I am extremely pleased to be joining Pitch International and taking on a fresh challenge in this newly-formed role of MD of Football. I have spent eight brilliant years at the Premier League, a fantastic organisation which continues to go from strength to strength. I would like to place on record my thanks to Paul Molnar and the rest of the broadcast team for all their support.’
Oliver Slipper, Pitch International’s Executive Chairman, added: “Football is already at the heart of our business, through long-term partnerships with The FA, EFL, CBF and clubs, leagues and federations. We believe there is significant scope to grow our football business over the next few years and Sunil shares our vision for growth and is a great addition to the team.”
